Synopsis
Join Jack on a giant-sized adventure in Jack and the Walthamstow Beanstalk, a fun-filled family pantomime bursting with laughter, music, and local charm.
Life is tough for Jack and his mother, Mother Mary, in Walthamstow, and things only get worse when Jack trades their beloved cow, Daisy, for three mysterious magic beans. Furious at first, Mother Mary believes Jack has made the biggest mistake of his life.
But when the beans grow overnight into a towering beanstalk stretching high above Walthamstow and the surrounding skyline, Jack discovers that adventure is calling. Beyond the clouds lies a magical world full of giants, surprises, and danger, where Jack must find the courage to save his family and protect his community.
Packed with comedy, songs, audience participation, and plenty of local references, Jack and the Walthamstow Beanstalk is a giant adventure for all ages, celebrating the spirit, people, and heart of Walthamstow.

A brand-new community musical, reimagining the classic Wizard of Oz story – set right here in our very own borough.
When Dottie is swept away from her Walthamstow Village cottage by a magical summer wind, she finds herself on a journey through the places we all know and love: the bustling market, Wood Street’s shops, Lloyd Park, and finally the grand steps of Walthamstow Town Hall. Along the way she makes three unlikely friends: Leo the bunting-maker who thinks he has no ideas, Rusty the bike repairer who feels he has lost his heart, and Bram the park ranger who lacks confidence to speak up. Together they seek help from the mysterious “Wizard” – only to learn that courage, heart and wisdom were inside them all along.
With ten local actors, well-loved songs with new Waltham Forest lyrics, and warm, funny storytelling, this show celebrates our community – reminding us that the best place of all is right where we belong.
